In the month of the June as all the India anxiously awaits and welcomes the Rain God to shower the mother earth with sweet droplets of water. Yes the June marks the beginning of most important season in India- Farming season. India is predominately agricultural economy, and prominent contributor of the agricultural products in the world market.

Majority of farmer in India are relying on the traditional pattern of the farming majorly because of the lack of the awareness and knowledge about the importance of the scientific farming. This results in poor yield and productivity even after the employment of good quality fertilizers and seeds.

As most of our farmer friend are unaware of the very important little quality of the soil which is called pH. pH is parameter or that quality of the soil which is responsible for the acidity and alkalinity of the soil.

Why this pH is so important in the soil?

As the human body or any animal body requires the vitamins and nutrients to grow, similarly plants also need the micronutrients and macronutrients from the soil to grow tall. As our mother in home prepare the tasty healthy food so that we eat that food, similar plants also need their food to be tasty otherwise they will not absorb nutrients from the soil.

So what make their food tasty? Right pH of the soil, it is responsible to add taste to the soil. In scientific terms the right pH of the soil is very important to dissolve correct nutrient and minerals in the soil. Hence it is very important to monitor the pH of the soil. The change in the pH affects the solubility of these minerals in the soil.
